Kenilworth RFC 19 – 7 Silhillians

Kenilworth U14s made it 14 games unbeaten with a hard-earned 19–7 victory over Silhillians in heavy Cowpatch conditions on Sunday.

KRFC started brightly, with Charlie Hamill breaking the line early to put Jack Stewart in for the opening try. Hamill added the extras to give Kenilworth an early advantage.

Silhillians responded with a converted score of their own, but Kenilworth regained control before the break when Toby Miller powered over, with Hamill once again converting to restore the lead.

The game was built on a strong defensive effort and physical commitment from the home side, with KRFC showing good teamwork throughout the contest.

As conditions worsened and the game tightened, it was Charlie Hamill who sealed the win late on, crossing for the decisive final try to secure a deserved 19–7 result.

Alex Mitchell was named Player of the Match for an excellent all-round display, with strong contributions also coming from Jack Stewart, Toby Miller, Theo Greavy, Freddie Heard and Charlie Hamill.

Best wishes go to Max Whiston and Alex Mitchell, who both picked up injuries during the game.
