The Kenilworth RFC AGM was recently held on Wednesday 22nd June in person at the clubhouse, as well as online so members could attend virtually.

After a very successful season on the pitch across all playing sections, positive and in-depth discussions were raised regarding a number of topics including the proposed New Ground move. The full AGM minutes are attached, and the election of Club Committee members was conducted during the meeting as follows:

Main Committee:

  • Chair - Johnny Marsh continues in the position
  • President - Dom Carrick succeeds Dean Stephenson as President
  • Treasurer - Paul Hendrick continues in the position
  • Secretary - Caroline Spence continues in the position
  • Director of Rugby - Jai Purewal continues in the position
  • Chair of Mini & Junior Section - Mark Pepper continues in the position
  • New Ground Development Co Ordinator - Paul Fountaine continues in the position
  • Chair of Women's Section - Caroline Spence continues in the position
  • Membership - Steve Ramus replaces Sally Pepper as Membership Secretary
  • Events Manager - Lyndsey Hendrick replaces Dom Carrick (role formerly social secretary) in the position

Vacant Positions:

  • Safeguarding Officer - Lyndsey Hendrick steps down from the position and no nominations were received at the AGM
  • Communications and PR - No nominations received at the AGM
  • Marketing and Sponsorship - No nominations received at the AGM

Support Positions:

  • Grounds Manager - Ian Harrison continues in the position
  • House Manager - Nick Collett continues in the position

We are delighted to welcome Steve Ramus to the committee as Membership Secretary. Steve is a long-standing member of the club, formerly as a player and more recently as a parent and Junior Section coach, and is a very welcome addition to the Committee.

We thank Lyndsey for her sterling efforts as Safeguarding Officer, and are very pleased to announce that she will remain on the Committee in the role of Events Manager, which is a new role that incorporates the former Social Secretary position.

Lastly, we wish to thank outgoing President Dean Stephenson for his time and effort over the past 2 years. Your new Kenilworth RFC President is Dom Carrick who should need little introduction.

Dom joined the club as a mini (in the late 70s!) and has been a club mainstay for well over 40 years as a 1XV player, former Director of Rugby, Tour Organiser and latterly Pirates Captain. He is best described as an incredibly committed, active and respected Club Member. Dom's Grandfather, Roy Bellerby, also held the position of President in both the early 60s and 70s, and it is safe to say that Dom definitely bleeds yellow and blue.
