On Saturday over 80 former Colts celebrated the rather belated 50th anniversary of the formation of our Colts side. Rather fittingly our current Colts side were in attendance fresh from their 8-5 win over Earlsdon the previous evening and were grateful to hear endless tales of how rugby was tougher, quicker and more skilfull in the previous 50 years!!
We were delighted and honoured to be joined by Chrissie Talbot (Le Voi) daughter of club stalwart Brian Le Voi who sadly passed away last year and who was instrumental in forming and coaching the original Colts side. As part of his legacy, Chrissie provided the club with the Brian Le Voi Cup which will be awarded to the Colts Player's Player of the season. A huge thank you to Jon I'Anson for his help in organising the event and to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for the lunch.
