Kenilworth RFC

As promised, we have some new signing news to share from our Senior Mens squad, and the first player to introduce you to is powerful back rower Michael Ryan.

Mike started playing rugby at Old Coventrians at under 15's, from where he went to play and study at Henley college which acts as Coventry RFC’s academy.  Whilst at college he represented England colleges at U19 level and was the first academy player to come through and sign a 1st Team contract for Coventry RFC during their period in National 1.

Mike’s previous club before joining Kenilworth was Broadstreet RFC, who he turned out for in both National 2 and Midlands Premier.

Mike stated that he sees Kenilworth RFC as an ambitious club, has been impressed by the squad already here and with the new ground on the horizon it’s an exciting time to be a part of what’s building on and off the field.

Head Coach Phil Boulton commented, “Im really pleased that Mike has signed for Kenilworth, he will add real depth to our pack and give us options across the second and back rows. I’ve played with Mike and know what an asset he can be with his physical ball carrying and appetite for defence. He’s a great character and I’ve no doubt the Kenilworth supporters will enjoy watching his all action approach to the game.”
